Iceland Highlands Adventure

Iceland Highlands Adventure

from $3,495.00

Rising out of the ocean as a high point of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland is among the newest lands on Earth. While we start and end our trip in Reykjavik, the world’s northernmost capital city, the trekking portion of our adventure is the true highlight. You'll search for words to describe the beauty you experience as you pass geothermal steam vents, gaze into deep river gorges, cross glacial streams, and journey through volcanic rock formations.

In Reykjavik you'll have the opportunity to go on a puffin watching cruise, check out the local art and culture, explore Iceland's Viking past, dine on the catch of the day, and of course, explore Reykjavik's famous nightlife. Our stay in Reykjavik also includes a day trip to some of the nearby natural wonders including the famous Geysir (the first Geyser known to modern Europeans). We'll then head East, into the interior highlands to begin the world famous Laugavegur Trek, a "bucket list" trek that is listed by National Geographic as one of the "World's Best Hikes".

Though we’re on a multi-day adventure you only need to carry a day pack as we’ll be transporting your luggage between huts. Sleeping bags and trekking poles are provided for your use and we even do all of the cooking for you so all you have to do is enjoy the beauty of the Iceland Highlands. Don’t miss out on this bucket list adventure!
